Isaac Physics

Students may wish to practice or refresh their Physics knowledge prior to starting in September for this the school recommends the Isaac Physics website. Isaac is an Open Platform for Active Learning (OPAL) designed to offer support and activities in physics problem solving to teachers and to students transitioning from GCSE (Y11), through to Sixth Form (Y12 & 13), to university. It combines an online study tool with face-to-face events at partner schools and institutions across the UK.

Go to the Isaac Physics website, click on “A Level” to bring up A Level Resources, and click on the Problem Solving tile. In the Physics section, you can then click on topics Mechanics/Waves/Fields/Circuits/Physical Chemistry to bring up a selection of problems on a “board” further down the page. There is also a Maths section that is relevant. You can click on the green tiles 1-6 on the right to select the level of difficulty.
